    Clear Cube Software spin off to use Pakistani talent

    ClearCube, known mainly for its blade PC hardware, plans to spin off its software operations into a separate company called VDIworks Inc. The split will allow the companies to better focus on their own products and sales, but also could make VDIworks a more attractive acquisition target. VDIworks software is expected to gain greater prominence in a market that is definitely headed of increased use of virtualization technologies, This according to Rick Hoffman, who lis leaving his CEO job at ClearCube to take on the CEO position at VDIWorks. Hoffman is taking Chief Technology Officer Amir Husain and several other ClearCube executives with him. VDIworks will have initially have 11 employees in Austin and 26 software developers that Clear Cube is already using in Pakistan.

    The two companies will remain linked as they are both owned by the same holding company. ClearCube will also be VDIworks first customer providing it with its initial revenue stream.
