Pakistan IT delegation in the US

An IT delegation headed by Yusuf Hussain, MD of the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) is in the US this week. Networking events have been arranged in Houston, Austin, Las Vegas, Palo Alto and Chicago. This has been done in collaboration with the Texas Trade Council, the Organisation of Pakistani Entrepreneurs of North America (OPEN), the Pakistani Embassy in the US and other local partners.
The delegation is meeting up with chamber of commerce, blue chip organizations and some government entities. The purpose of the visit is to highlight the opportunities, the expertise and incentives that are available in the Pakistan IT sector and to foster business collaboration with companies in the US.
PSEB estimates that the Pakistan IT industry size is US$2.8 billion with annual exports estimated at US$1.4 billion with the industry size expected to grow to US$11 billion by 2011.
