Position Summary
The Director of Learning & Development is responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of training and skill development programs for the IT sector of Pakistan. The Director will work closely with the P@SHA Skills Development Committee and key stakeholders to identify training needs and develop customized programs that align with the sector’s talent requirements in the short and long-term.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive training and upskilling strategy that aligns with sector growth targets and talent requirements of the IT sector of Pakistan
- Identify training needs by analyzing local industry needs, growing international talent requirements and other available data
- Identify and partner with strategic key stakeholders to ensure training programs are aligned with industry objectives and meet the needs of the sector
- Design and develop customized training programs, including instructor-led training, e-learning courses, and virtual training options
- Manage the delivery of training programs, including coordinating with external vendors and trainers as needed
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements
- Manage the budget and resources for training and development programs
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in training and development, and incorporate this knowledge into program design and delivery
Eligibility/Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, such as HR, Education, or Business Administration
- 7+ years of experience in training and development, with a focus on the IT sector
- Proven experience in developing and implementing successful training programs
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with e-learning tools and technologies is a plus
