The P@SHA CEC announces the end of term for Secretary General P@SHA, Shehryar Hydri, who completed his two-year tenure with the association in January.
Shehryar Hydri joined P@SHA in 2017 to setup the Islamabad Secretariat and drive our engagement with the federal and provincial governments as well as other critical industry stakeholders such as Ministry of Commerce, FBR, SBP, SECP, donor agencies and foreign IT giants operating in Pakistan. During the last two years, P@SHA helped finalize the National IT Policy in 2018, which extended the tax holiday on exports till 2025, reduced GST rates in KPK and Islamabad and approved a 5% cash reward on exports among several other policy wins.
Internally, the association has escalated the engagement by doubling its member base in these two years and providing multiple platforms and events for members to share best practices, get subsidized training in latest technologies and processes and save millions of rupees due to member benefits and partnerships with banks, hotels and other vendors.
P@SHA has also partnered with several public and private entities to give members more access to foreign events and market access delegations. Interest in our P@SHA Awards also doubled during this time with hundreds of applicants getting exposure, while the most promising companies of our industry were showcased globally at events such as APICTA Awards, GITEX Dubai and others.
We wish Shehryar the best of luck with his future endeavors and thank him for his contribution in expanding the community and representing the industry and the association on such critical platforms. P@SHA plans to grow this momentum during 2020 and will be announcing several major endeavors in the coming months. We look forward to working with a broader range of companies and stakeholders to develop the fastest growing and most critical sector of #EmergingPakistan.
