Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth desk research and analysis on a wide range of policy issues including taxation, data privacy, regulatory frameworks, digital governance, and incentives for the IT sector.
- Track ongoing legislative, regulatory, and governmental developments and prepare timely summaries, alerts, and analysis for the Lead.
- Draft clear, concise, evidence-based policy briefs, background notes, and initial versions of consultation responses to support the Lead and Manager.
- Assist in preparing presentations, briefing materials, and content for stakeholder meetings, advocacy campaigns, and industry engagements.
- Support the Lead in managing stakeholder coordination — including scheduling meetings, preparing talking points, drafting follow-ups, and maintaining contact databases.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and consultations as delegated; prepare meeting notes and action trackers for the Policy team.
- Contribute to digital advocacy efforts by helping draft social media content, monitoring public discourse, and coordinating with the communications team.
- Provide administrative and operational support to ensure timely execution of advocacy activities, member consultations, and policy research tasks.
- Maintain organized records of policy developments, government notifications, and sector data to support ongoing research and advocacy priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Computer Science, Law, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in relevant field.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights.
- Excellent writing skills with experience drafting briefs, reports, or research papers (academic or professional).
- Strong verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting findings internally or in small stakeholder settings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with data tools or visualization software is a plus.
- Experience with grant writing, fundraising, or public-sector engagement is an advantage.
- Active social media awareness or experience supporting digital advocacy campaigns is preferred.
