Eligibility to vote is defined under Rule 15 of the Trade Organizations Rules 2013. A member is eligible to vote if all of the following conditions are met:
- Membership duration — The member has completed two years of valid membership of P@SHA as on the date of announcement of the Election Schedule. (Old members are eligible on completion of one year of enrollment and payment of all dues.)
- Membership in good standing — The member has fulfilled the conditions of membership and has renewed its membership within the prescribed deadline for the relevant year(s).
- Specimen card submitted — The member has submitted the completed specimen signature card, along with a photograph, to the Secretariat.
- Registered representative — The vote is cast by the member company’s authorized representative: the proprietor, partner, or director of the member company, or a representative not below the rank of General Manager in case of a public limited company and a multinational corporation authorized by the board of directors.
Only representatives whose names have been registered with the Secretary General and appear on the Final Voter List may cast a vote on election day. Voting is held in person by secret ballot; postal and proxy voting are not permitted.
