[Islamabad, Pakistan] – [September, 13th, 2023] P@SHA, being the premier trade body of Pakistan’s IT Industry, is committed to upholding the highest standards of compliance with regulatory authorities, specifically the Directorate General of Trade Organizations (DGTO) and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

In accordance with the DGTO order dated September 7, 2023, the entire election process for the year 2023 has been suspended. DGTO’s office communicated to Chambers and Trade Organizations via a letter that the Honorable Islamabad High Court has issued an order suspending the directives of the Trade Organizations Regulator concerning elections under CM No. 1/2023 and Writ Petition No. 2226/2023, both dated July 7, 2023.

Until the final decision of the Islamabad High Court is reached, no election activities for chambers and trade organizations will be conducted. P@SHA, in strict compliance with the orders and directives mentioned above, has taken immediate action to suspend all election-related activities and has withdrawn the previously announced election schedule.
